SRI LANKA - TEA SMALL HOLDER FACTORIES REPORTED IMPROVED PROFITS

Tea small holder factories a John keels holding company reported improved profit figures for the last quarter & the nine months ended as at 31/12/2009 on back of improved tea prices in the world market.
This is the third plantation company to report profits after Watawala plantations & Horana plantations.

By now all the plantation companies which published profit figures for this period have shown substantial growth in their bottom line.

Issued share capital of the company as at 31/12/2009 represent by 15 m.n. Ordinary shares. Net assets value of the company share as at 31/12/2009 was Rs 44.44.

Akbar Brothers Ltd - 24.30%
Central finance Company - 22.85%
