SRI LANKA SHARES UP WITH THE BACKING OF RETAIL BUYING

08/01/2010 - Sri lanka share market went  up today,ASI by 36.07 points to close at 3514.63  & Millanka index by 38.12 points to close at 4039.36. Turn over for the day was 929 m.n. lead by local investors. There were 93 positive contributors against 44 negative contributors. To day most of plantation company shares went up together with small valued shares (Mid- caps).Further there were buying interest on property  development sector shares as well where OSEA owners of the Colombo's land mark building world trade center saw nearly 3.0 m.n. shares changing hands.Colombo land share up by .50 cents to close at Rs 7.00

 To day we saw improved buying interest for the Seylan bank counters where both SEYB (N) & SEYB (X) shares prices increased by Rs 1.25 to close at Rs 40.75 & Rs 1.00 to close at Rs 18.00. we can expect further price improvements in this counters in coming days.

Further we saw massive price improvements in the GREG share as well as its Warrants. Greg share & its warrants were in top five gainers list for the day.
