Aitken Spence, Asian Hotel Properties, Brown & Company, John Keells Hotels, NDB, Sampath Bank, C.W. Mackie and Hotel Services have been included in the composition of companies in the Milanka Price Index with effect from January 2, the CSE has announced.
They replace Bukit Darah, Cargills, Ceylon Hotels Corporation, Chevron Lubricants, Hayleys, Kelani Tyres, Touchwood Investments and Vallibel Power which were included in the Milanka composition in the second half of last year.
The composition of Milanka Price Index from January 2 to June 30, 2010 comprised:
Banks, Finance & Insurance: Ceylinco Insurance, Commercial Bank, DFCC Bank, HNB, NDB, NTB, Sampath Bank, Seylan Bank
Beverage, Food & Tobacco: Ceylon Tobacco, Distilleries Company
Diversified: Aitken Spence, JKH, Richard Pieris
Manufacturing: Tokyo Cement
Telecommunications: Dialog
Hotels & Travels: Asian Hotels and Properties, Hotel Services, John Keells Hotels
Land & Property: Overseas Realty
Power & Energy: – Lanka IOC
Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals: Chemical Industries
Construction & Engineering Colombo Dockyard
Trading: - Brown & Co., C.W. Mackie, Environmental Resources Investments.
