Jan 24, 2011 (LBO) - Sri Lanka Environmental Resource Investments said it had received 41 million Canadian dollars after a British Virgin Islands firm it is buying through installments sold stock in a mining firm.
ERI said in a stock exchange filing that the BVI firm, Environmental Resources Limited, had sold 24 million shares in Eastern Platinum, a Canadian listed firm, at 1.72 dollars per share. It did not give a reason for the move.
ERI's voting stock fell 7.60 to 110.00 rupees. It has also been a prolific equity warrants issuer. ERI's warrant series came before the regulator clamped down on the practice.
It W01 warrants fell 5.20 to 98.00 rupees, W06 warrants 7.70 to 50.00 rupees, W02 warrants 5.0 rupees 51.20 and W03 8.70 rupees 50.00.
