Dhammika makes mandatory offer for Lanka Aluminium shares at Rs. 41.5
Businessman Dhammika Perera has announced a mandatory offer to purchase ordinary shares of Lanka Aluminium Industries PLC (LAIP) at Rs. 41.50 each.
He had to make this mandatory offer as per the Company Takeovers and Mergers Code 1995 (Amended 2003) after increasing his stake from 26.57 percent to 34.9 percent by purchasing 1,141,523 ordinary shares of (LAIP) at Rs. 41.50 each, a stock exchange filing said.
Perera’s stake is 4,782,923 ordinary shares and his mandatory offer is for the balance 8,919,900 shares.
