The newest vessel built by the yard, to support offshore oil platforms, was formally christened Greatship Rohini Wednesday.
Sheth said the platform support vessel has got a five-year contract with Petrobas, in Brazil seen as a big market for deep-water oil exploration.
It is the third in a series of four vessels designed by Sea Tech Solutions International of Singapore and built by Colombo Dockyard for Greatship, the yard's managing director Mangala Yapa said.
"It's different from the other two as it is the first with two ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) that can do surveying, maintenance and damage control in 300 metre water depths," he said.
The fourth vessel is scheduled to be delivered by the end of February.
Sheth said Greatship has so far placed orders for 11 vessels with Colombo Dockyard, the largest number to be awarded to a single yard by the firm.
Six of the vessels have already been delivered.
