TFC new shares to start trading today

The Finance in a filing to all member firms and trading members of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday said that the firm's ordinary shares amounting to 40 million will be listed on the market today.

The filing also said Central Depository System (CDS) Accountsv of all investors would be credited with the new shares, after yesterday's trading hours.

Through a share issue, The Finance recently issued 40 million ordinary voting shares at Rs. 40, to raise Rs.1.6 billion to consolidate its position and also for future expansions.

TFC also appointed new directors to its board recently. The new directors are Chemenex chief Preethi Jayawardena, Browns Group Deputy Chairman Ajith Devasurendra, N.A Fernando, R. Nadarajah and the high net-worth investor Dr T Senthilverl.
