Amana Takaful insures first Limo

Making history and signalling better times ahead for Sri Lanka, Amana Takaful was able to provide the insurance coverage for the very first limousine to ply the roads of the island.  The stylish lifestyle automobile visited the Head office of Amana Takaful recently to accept the insurance cover ceremoniously.

The limousine, a Chrysler C300 (USA) is 14.8 feet long and has a 3500 cc engine with 418 BHP. The style icon can comfortably seat 8 people and has special lighting, conference call facility, LCD screens,  fridge, etc; inside the limousine making it entertainment and business on wheels. The limousine is owned by Casons Rent-A-Car, one of Amana Takaful's longstanding clients, which makes the vehicle available for anyone who wants to have a slice of the high life, just a call away.

"Being part of one of our customer's successes is important to us. Moreover, being part of history is a satisfying experience we are truly honoured with," said Mr. Adel Hashim, General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Amana Takaful PLC. "We wish Casons Rent-A-Car all the very best and look forward to many others following suit as well to make most of the economic prospects of our island," he added.

The insurance certificate was handed over to Zakir Ahmed, Managing Director, of Casons Rent-A Car by Hashim, in the background of the trendsetter Chrysler 300C limo at Amana Takaful's head office on Duplication road. The evening rush hour seemed to crawl by at the time, to catch a glimpse of this majestic vehicle.

Casons Rent-A-Car has been in the industry for more than two decades serving a discerning local and foreign clientele. "The import of the limousine is not the first of luxury vehicles owned by Casons. We already have a fleet of vehicles including much sought after vehicles such as Hummer, BMW, Mercedes Benz, large size SUVs and luxury coaches said Mr. Ahmed. "Tourism is set to boom in Sri Lanka and we are merely answering the call of the hour as most others have too," added Mr. Ahmed predicting that the demand for such luxury vehicles will increase in the near future.

Amana Takaful is the pioneer of the Takaful way of insurance and has carved itself a strong market in little more than a decade of operations in Sri Lanka. With plans to establish a global foot print for Takaful in South Asia, the company also has a fully fledged licensed operation in the Maldives.
