Union Bank recorded a 123% increase in net profit for the quarter ended 30.06.2011. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs. 68 million compared to a Net profit of Rs. 30 million during the corresponding period of the previous year.
However, there was no change in the EPS which remained at Rs. 0.20 during the period under consideration for both 2010 and 2011.
Meanwhile, the bank recorded a 157% increase in Net profit for the six months ended 30.06.2011. Net profit for the period stood at Rs.129 million in comparison to a net profit of Rs. 50,015 for the six months ended 30.06.2010. EPS for the period was Rs. 0.37 in comparison to the EPS of Rs. 0.33 in 2010.
