DPL’s second largest shareholder gradually exits

The second largest share holder of Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC (DPL), International Ceramic Incorporation (ICI) of Japan, had sold further 550,100 shares of DPL on June 29, at Rs.51.20 per share, a filing to the Colombo Stock Exchange said.

The announcement went public since ICI revealed that it divested 359,900 shares of DPL at Rs.52.87 per share initially.

International Ceramic Incorporation (ICI) as at 31 March 2011 held 6.03 million shares of Dankotuwa porcelain amounting to an 8.3% stake, being the second largest shareholder of the company with Ken Sawayama representing ICI on the DPL board.
