The Colombo bourse ended on a flat note yesterday where the market moved in marginal terms.
ASI dropped slightly by 2.81 points (-0.04%) to end at 6,809.78 while liquid MPI dipped by 13.89 points (-0.22%) to close at 6,216.49.
The market turnover was recorded at Rs 1.2bn.
Blue Diamond Plc (Rs.272.7mn) made the highest contribution to the turnover followed by East West Properties Plc (Rs.111.2) and Aitken Spence Hotels Plc (Rs.97.9mn).
Furthermore both Blue Diamond Plc and East West Properties Plc displayed heavy trading along with Commercial Credit Plc.
In addition Eastern Merchant Plc has announced a subdivision of shares in the proportion of one into seventy shares.
Also E- Channelling Plc has disposed 13.7mn shares of Blue Diamonds Plc for a total consideration of Rs.133.4mn with a capital gain of Rs.62.8 approximately to the company.
Foreign participation amounted to 6.9% of the total market activity. At the end of the day foreign investors were the net sellers with a net foreign outflow of Rs.96.1mn.
