Sri Lanka bourse get top economist on board

Apr 02, 2010 (LBO) - Sri Lanka's Colombo Stock Exchange has appointed top economist Saman Kelegam to its board, the bourse said in a statement.
Kelegama will represent SC Securities, a member stockbroker of the exchange.

He is the executive director of Sri Lanka's Institute of Policy Studies and is a member of the presidential commission on taxation of Sri Lanka.

He has a doctorate and masters degree in economics from University of Oxford, U.K.

The other directors of the CSE are: Nihal Fonseka (Chairman), Krishan Balendra, Vajira Kulatilaka, Ashroff Omar, Dhakshitha Thalgodapitiya, Laksiri Fernando and Hiran de Alwis.
