LOFC tops trading

The Colombo market enforced its downtrend yesterday by recording further losses.

ASI dropped by 30.5 points (-0.45%) to close at 6,762.38 while liquid MPI dipped by 30.73 points (-0.50%) to settle at 6,107.60.

Market turnover was recorded at Rs 1.9bn.

Lanka Orix Finance Company Plc (Rs 625.0mn) was the top contributor to the turnover followed by Regnis Plc (Rs 218.7mn) and Radian Gems Plc (Rs 61.7mn). Lanka Orix Finance Plc recorded an off-the-floor deal of 52mn shares at a price of Rs 12.00.

Meanwhile, aggressive level of trading were witnessed in Regnis Plc, The Finance Plc and Radiant Gems Plc Foreign participation was high at 20.9% of the total market activity. At the end of the day foreign investors were the net sellers with a net foreign outflow of Rs 610.6mn.
