Sep 06, 2011 (LBO) - Sri Lankan tile manufacturer Lanka Floortiles said production had resumed at its plant Jalatara, Ranala, south of the capital Colombo.
"The factory re-started work after a one-day work stoppage," a stock exchange filing said.
Workers struck work on the evening of September 01, 2011 due to a dispute between the management and the work force. They went back to work on the evening of the next day, Friday, September 02, the company said.
Lanka Floortiles, which manufactures ceramic glazed floor tiles, is a subsidiary of Lanka Walltile, which is itself a subsidiary of the Lanka Ceramic Group, a member of the Ceylon Theatres group.
