First ever local investment road show in Galle tomorrow

The first ever capital market investment road show will be held on Saturday at the Galle Town Hall.

Inaugural event in a series planned countrywide under an initiative of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in partnership with stakeholders, has drawn over 1,000 registered participants already.

Fourteen market participants including stock brokers and unit trust managers will showcase sound investments in the Colombo stock market between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. Education and guidance as well as tips to investing public will be shared as well.

The second road show is slated for 30 July at the Kandy City Centre.

The initiative is part of SEC’s broader mandate of enhancing the investor base in capital markets.
